How to Apply

The Wyoming Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC) is accepting applications! We are looking for residents across Wyoming, who have personal experience with disabilities.

Members will commit to a 3- year term, attending quarterly meetings, at minimum. Participation in council meetings may be in person, by phone, or online platform. Meetings typically occur in February, May/June, August and November. Members will be reimbursed at State of Wyoming rates for their travel expenses. 

New applications for membership are presented at the next regular council meeting. Following the councils' approval, applications are submitted to the Governor of Wyoming for appointment.

Reasonable accommodations to participate in Council meetings will be provided upon request. This might include: reimbursement for drivers; real-time transcription; attendant care; large print or braille materials; etc.
